MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

Leah Senseney is a Philadelphia based actor and educator. Originally from Maryland, Leah received her BA in Vocal Performance with minors in Dance and Education from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. After graduation she interned backstage at Barter Theatre and gained knowledge and appreciation for every aspect of musical theatre. Leah's favorite part of teaching is working with students on audition prep. She has performed with Media Theatre, South Camden Theatre, 11th Hour Theatre Company, McCarter Theatre Center, Walnut Street Theatre, Candlelight Theatre, and Broadway Theatre of Pitman. She currently works as the Education Manager at The Media Theatre.

William Daniels is a performer/choreographer/teaching artist from Philadelphia. After graduating from Temple University with a Theatre degree, he became a working actor performing in theaters all over the tristate area. Favorite roles include Squidward in The Spongebob Squarepants Musical and Orpheus in Eurydice. In addition to acting he has choreographed for Upper Darby Summer Stage, WolfPAC, Arden Summer Camp, and Perkiomen Valley High School. In his free time he loves watching movies, working out, comedic improv, eating cheesesteaks, and hanging out with his friends.

Tess Sinatra is so happy to be back at  the Media Theatre as a Teaching Artist this fall! Born and raised in the Philly suburbs, Tess received her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of the Arts. Tess has taught and performed all over the Philly area. She loves to bring her love of dance and theatre to her students. You may have seen her onstage recently at the Candlelight Theatre or at Ocean City Theatre Company.

James Traverso is currently a student at Slippery Rock University and is studying in their BFA musical theatre program. He grew up performing around Delco, most recently in Media Theatre’s production of Tuck Everlasting. He has extensive acting training in multiple different techniques and loves to teach acting classes. In his spare time he loves to watch old movies with friends, chill with his girlfriend, and play with his dog. 

Sarah Mackus is a Philadelphia-area based artist and educator. As a teaching artist, Sarah has loved sharing the joy of theater with students across the region, including at Hedgerow Theatre, Wolf Performing Arts Center, and The Media Theatre. On stage, Sarah has most recently performed regionally at Hedgerow Theatre, Candlelight Theatre, and Ritz Theatre. Sarah is a proud alum of Temple University, holding a B.A. in both Theater and Media Production.

Deemed a writer with an “innate knack for tackling thorny subject matter with a soft human heart” by Pulitzer nominee Gabriel Jason Dean, Ally is an award-winning playwright, director, and actor. She got her BA in English from Muhlenberg College in 2022 and will graduate from Villanova University with her MA in Theatre in 2027. Most recent titles include “-in-chief” and the new original folk musical “Crucibled.” IG: @allyduvak

Bryan Hagelin (he/him) is a director, performer, and teaching artist from Philadelphia, PA and a graduate of Cornell University. He is an alum of the National Women's Theatre Festival's WTFringeLab for directing and producing, the Kennedy Center Directing Intensive, and La Mama's International Directing Symposium in Umbria, Italy. Recent directing credits include The Glass Menagerie (Blue Moon Theatre), White by James Ijames (Langhorne Players), and The Little Prince (Players Club of Swarthmore). In 2024 Bryan served as the Artistic Intern at the Tony Award-winning Wilma Theater, where he was the Associate Director on the World Premiere of Hilma. Bryan has previously worked as a teaching artist with the Kimmel Center and Dramactive Arts.
