Looking for a fun and creative way to spend Spring Break?

Join us at Camp Media Theatre for an unforgettable week of imagination and creativity!

Campers will rotate through exciting mini-creative projects designed to spark imagination and build confidence. Camp is offered for students ages 6-13 and is perfect for those just starting out, as well as for those who have major stage experience. We will break up into age-appropriate groups to ensure relevant and suitable learning for all.

Join us for just one day or the entire week—each day features a different theatrical theme that everyone will enjoy. Topics explored throughout the week include: Acting, Music, Dance, Improv and Storytelling.

Whether your child loves acting, storytelling, or simply trying something new, Spring Break at Camp Media Theatre is the perfect place to shine!

  • Camp drop off is at 9:00 AM and pickup is at 3:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is a Half-day from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM.

    No before or aftercare is offered.

    Students will be given ample lunch time and a snack break, so a packed lunch, water bottle and a snack will need to be provided.

    No official performance will take place during these camps. Rather than focusing on performance, we’ll spend the day enjoying engaging and creative activities. Some elements from camp may be filmed and emailed to parents to be watched at home. 

  • Instead of registering for individual days, join us for the full week to take advantage of our great value and make new friends! Monday, we focus on acting, Tuesday is music-focused, Wednesday, we improv, Thursday is dance, and Friday is all about storytelling!   • Campers will dive into the exciting process of bringing a script to life. The day will start with getting to know your games to create a sense of community and guide us to work together as an ensemble. We will break down the principles of acting while we explore character development, staging, memorization techniques, and ensemble teamwork—all while rehearsing scenes from a play. Whether your child is new to the stage or already loves performing, this camp builds confidence, focus, and collaboration skills in a fun and supportive environment. Join us on March 30th! REGISTER

    Through guided rehearsals and interactive theatre games, campers will:

    • Learn rehearsal techniques used by professional actors

    • Strengthen voice projection and stage presence

    • Practice blocking and movement on stage

    • Develop strong, believable characters

  • Campers will  focus on all things music to introduce them to the building blocks of musical performance. Participants will learn how to read and understand basic sheet music, including melody lines, rhythm, dynamics, and key musical terms. Through fun, hands-on activities, campers will discover how composers use music to tell a story and express emotion.In addition to music literacy, campers will explore acting through song— They’ll practice connecting emotion to vocals, using facial expressions and physicality to enhance storytelling, and performing with confidence. By the end of the day, campers will not only better understand what’s on the page, but also how to bring it to life on stage! Join us on March 31st! REGISTER

  • Ready to learn how to come up with a joke on the spot? On this day Campers will jump into high-energy theatre games and creative challenges that build confidence, teamwork, and quick thinking. Through guided improvisation exercises, participants will learn the basic building blocks of improv to create characters on the spot, invent hilarious scenes, and learn the power of “yes, and”! Join us on April 1st!

    This fast-paced, fun-filled day encourages imagination, bold choices, and lots of laughter—no memorization required! Improv is all about quick thinking so this day will be quick too! Ending at 1:00PM instead of the usual 3:30 PM. REGISTER

  • Move, groove, and learn how to dance through life on our high-energy dance day at Camp Media Theatre where you get to dance to your favorite songs from Movie Musicals. Join us on April 2nd!

    This movement-focused camp day introduces campers to the building blocks of musical theatre dance. Movie musicals we will focus on include: Wicked, Encanto, Matilda and more. Participants will explore foundational techniques such as rhythm, coordination, stage presence, storytelling through movement, and learning choreography as an ensemble. From warm-ups and across-the-floor progressions to dynamic combinations set to Broadway-style music, campers will build confidence while developing strong performance skills.

    Throughout the day, dancers will focus on expression, character-driven movement, and how choreography helps tell a story on stage. Whether new to dance or experienced in the studio, everyone will leave feeling energized, empowered, and ready to dance through life! Campers must come dressed in comfortable clothing ready to move with closed toed shoes: no uggs or crocks. REGISTER

  • This creative camp day focuses on the art of crafting and sharing powerful stories. Campers will explore the key elements of storytelling—character, setting, conflict, and plot—while learning how to build engaging narratives from their own ideas. Through theatre games, group collaboration, and guided writing activities, participants will create original scenes and bring them to life through performance. Join us on April 3rd!

Camp Media Theatre is back!

Performance Camps (8 -15 years) In two weeks, audition for, rehearse and perform a musical! All Performance Camps culminate in a 30-minute musical!

  • Camp drop-off is 9:30–10:00 AM. Camp pick-up is 3:30–4:00 PM.

    Extended care is available for an additional fee.

    Before Care & After Care hours are 9:00–9:30 AM and 4:00–4:30 PM.

    Before/After Care is offered at an additional $150 for two week camps & $75 for one week camps. Must be purchased for full length of camp.

    Campers must be registered in advance to attend before or after care.

    Please note that no formal instruction takes place outside regular camp hours. Campers attending before or after care should bring activities to work on independently.

  • Scholarships for Camp Media Theatre are available for eligible participants. We’re happy to offer a limited number of scholarships; however, they are not guaranteed. To be considered, please complete the following scholarship FORM and submit it to education@mediatheatre.org.

    Your 6-12-year-old’s favorite characters take the stage in this camp filled with magical adventures! Heroes & Villains will meet, fairy tales will be mixed up and campers will sing songs from beloved films & musicals.  Students will learn three songs, three dances and create their own improvised scenes, all based on fables and fairytales. All camps are Monday through Friday.

JUNE 15-26

    A Musical Theatre intensive camp for actors 8-15 years old, ready to hit the stage in a more extended performance! Campers will prepare and perform Finding Nemo Kids live on The Media Theatre stage! Actors will immerse themselves in the world of Theatre through audition technique classes, rehearsal etiquette instruction and show preparation.

    This two-week camp will begin with each camper participating in an audition process for the show. Each camper will be cast in the show and receive a script. Week one will focus on learning choreography, music and blocking. In week two, the campers will focus on memorization while putting the production on its feet with costumes and props.

    All camps are Monday through Friday. There will be one invited dress rehearsal for family members of campers at 3:00 PM and one ticketed performance of the production on the final Friday of camp, which will be open to the public at 5:00 PM.

JUNE 29 - JULY 10

    Does your 6-12-year-old love singing along to their favorite musical when they watch it on the big screen? Are they cracking everyone up at the dinner table with their jokes? This week, campers will sing and dance to the best musical soundtracks while focusing on comedic timing and being silly.  Students will learn three songs, three dances and create their own improvised scenes. All camps are Monday through Friday.

Students will learn three songs, three dances and create their own improvised scenes, all based on Movie Musicals. All camps are Monday through Friday.
