The Media Theatre Veterans Alliance is co-chaired by two local WWII combat veterans, Ed Buffman and "Bud" Hendrick. Both Buffman and Hendrick served in the South Pacific during WWII, and became involved as Advisors with Media Theatre during Artistic Director Jesse Cline's production of the classic musical South Pacific in the fall of 2001.

The MTVA salutes local Veterans at the Media Theatre each year during a special "Veterans Night" performance of each mainstage Broadway musical. The Veterans Nights generally take place on a Saturday evening of each musical's run at Media Theatre.

The MTVA's mission is that of 'creating awareness for both the sacrifices Veterans have made in order to live in a free society and drawing attention to the arts in Delaware County.'

The MTVA is directly involved with the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum, which is located on the lower level of the old Media Armory at 12 E. State Street, just two blocks away from the Media Theatre. The Museum focuses on 'state of the art' exhibits that will educate and enlighten the public (including students) on the sacrifices Veterans have made in the past to insure this country's place as the strongest nation in modern history. Exhibits include a Sense-surround theatre, which allow museum visitors to see, smell and experience what it would have been like to be in a particular battle at an important point during history. There will also be multi-media exhibits in the museum.

The Media Theatre, through the direction of Jesse Cline, is closely involved with the museum, providing live stage presentations at the theatre based on the main exhibits. The stage presentations will provide a balance to the museum exhibits, focusing on the emotional human experience the young members of our military experienced during major battles. "We will try to provide all sides of the human condition during the stage presentation," Cline explained.

Recent productions include "Constitution Play: Framework for America", an upbeat look at our Constitution created with Marple Newtown High School Students and "Paying the Price", a musical about a WWII Veteran's experiences.
